Bill Bailey Travel Club – What To Check
The first thing to check when planning your vacation is the weather. If you pack only summer clothes and a bathing suit and travel to Australia in July, you may be very disappointed as temperatures during the months of June through August may did down to the 40’s or 50’s at night, making the water cold and you even colder. Some things to consider when planning around the weather include:
Is there a hurricane season?
When is the winter at your destination and what is the weather like?
Is there a rainy season?
While it is important to know the answers to these questions, it is also important to remember taht although you can get a general idea of what to expect from the weather during these times, the weather is fickle and can change quickly. Pack and plan for the expected weather and remember to pack an extra outfit in case the weather decides to be difficult. Bill Bailey Travel Club looks at the top reasons for choosing the right time to visit.
Festivals and Events – Occur in areas throughout the world and usually at scheduled times. If you want to visit Mardis Gras in New Orleans, you should start planning far in advance and know the dates.
Avoiding The Tourists – Most destinations have an off season, a shoulder season and a hot season for travel. If you don’t enjoy crowds look at going a little later or earlier in the season to avoid some of the traffic. If you want to visit Paris, avoid the summer as the lines will be very long and the heat will be quite extreme at times. Choose instead to visit in Spring or Fall.
Watching The Weather – The Caribbean is known for its Hurricanes and a Hurricane Season. Most vacationers choose to travel in months that are less prone to having hurricanes. Mid summer to late Fall is the peak hurricane season in the area and you should keep this in mind when planning your trip if you are concerned about possible inclement weather.
