Posted on 11.27.15

William Bailey Travel Reviews Must Try Theme Park RidesWe might just now be heading into the blustery chilliness of winter, but our summer dreams shouldn’t be dashed. What perfect way to take off the chill then to start planning a summer getaway for next year? There is no better way to spend a long summer day then seeking thrills and screaming from the top of your lungs as you ride the best rides in the world! An All-American summer day cannot be beat at one of the many theme parks that pepper the US from coast to coast. William Bailey Travel invites you to take a look at some of the newest and most exciting rides top U.S. theme parks have to offer.

Universal Orlando opened the much anticipated addition to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter Daigon Alley in the last year. This makes many Muggles happy, as the themed area of the Harry Potter series has now nearly doubled in size. Another newer area featured is Harry Potter and the Escape from Grignotts. It is a multi-sensory, multi-dimensional roller coaster ride with interactive media that will make you question if you possibly have wizardly skills. There may not be any more movies but that is no reason you can’t still enjoy something new relating to your favorite wizards.

The newest thrill ride at Six Flags Great America in Gurnee, Illinois is named Goliath. This giant of a roller coaster is a triple record breaking ride. It is the world’s highest at 180 feet, the fastest, reaching speeds of 72 MPH, and the steepest at a mind boggling 85 degrees. All of this on its wooden structure that will have riders experiencing an inverted Zero-G stall, and a 180 degree Zero-G roll. This one is definitely not for the faint of heart, as I’m sure many will be skipping a beat several times on this adventurous ride.

King’s Island in Mason, Ohio recently welcomed their 14th roller coaster to its lineup. The Banshee opened in 2014. It is the world’s longest inverted roller coaster with 4,124 feet of track. The roller coaster tops out at a speed of 68MPH, and has seven inversions, that will make even the quietest of riders scream to the rooftops as their stomach flips again, and again.

A planned visit to any of these theme parks will have you enjoying a quintessential all American summer day, and will help you beat off the winter blahs. Whether you get lost in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, or are nursing a sore throat with refreshingly cold lemonade from the screams you emitted on one of these heart stopping thrill rides, these are just a few of the many amazing rides you won’t want to miss.
